The Role:

On behalf of our client, a well-established surveying firm, we are looking for an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors in the Aberdeen region and beyond.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the AEC industry and has an existing network of decision-makers and influencers. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding our client’s presence in key markets through strategic business development and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the AEC sector

• Leverage your existing network across architecture, engineering, and construction firms

• Develop long-term relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders

• Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored service proposals

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings

• Report regularly on business development activity and market trends

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven track record in business development or client-facing roles within the AEC sector

• Strong understanding of surveying and its role in project delivery

• A well-established network in the Aberdeen and wider Scottish AEC market

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

• Highly self-motivated with a results-driven approach
